As an initiation process to the Makanda experience, the body is treated to a marine salt exfoliation to eliminate dead cells and alleviate dry and rough skin to invigorate the whole body. Experience a technique that has been used for centuries to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, bring blood and oxygen to the surface of the skin, and help in the detoxification process. Adding a dry brush treatment will assist in boosting your immune system by stimulating the lymph which enables you to resist infections. Continuing with a full body scrub using natural sea salt to efficiently cleanse, soften and hydrate the skin, removing dead skin cells without stripping away too much natural oil while enjoying a fantastic ginger scalp scrub to exfoliate the remaining dead cells. Followed by a treatment involving a full-body application of seaweed in a foil wrap to aid in detoxification by causing the body to release toxins through sweat. And lastly experience a massage technique specific for moving, and cleansing, lymphatic fluid. Cupping is a type of alternative therapy that originated in China. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction may facilitate healing with blood flow.
Proponents also claim the suction helps facilitate the flow of “qi” in the body. Qi is a Chinese word meaning life force. Is a fact that cupping helps balance yin and yang, or the negative and positive, within the body. Restoring balance between these two extremes is thought to help with the body’s resistance to pathogens as well as its ability to increase blood flow and reduce pain.
Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.
The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure). Cupping is used to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety, fatigue, migraines, rheumatism, and even cellulite.

Peloids consist of humus and minerals formed over many years by geological and biological, chemical and physical processes. Peloidotherapy involves dissolved and highly mineralized, purified therapeutic mud or peat in water and applying to the body as a thermal therapy. The fresh mud is rich in decomposed aquatic plants. Imagine relaxing back into a luxurious bath of clean mineralised ocean water. Floating effortlessly in a soothing and tranquil state, your skin feels smooth and renewed. Breathe deeply and sense the tension, aches, and pains merely slip away: an ideal way to unwind any time. Followed by a full body marine peloid wrap to increase the blood circulation, relieve the signs of tiredness and is an excellent way to detoxify the body.

Appointment Cancellation Policy
Your appointments are very important to the members of SHANTI SPA, it is reserved especially for you, we understand that sometimes schedules adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.
STRICT AND ENFORCED 24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY!
Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services. Since the services are reserved for you personally, a Cancellation fee will apply.
- Less than 24 hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
- “NO SHOWS” will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.
